Solis in Antris - Meaning and Band
Solis in Antris is an Epic Black Metal band, formed by VII on Music/Guitars/Bass/Keys/Drum Programming and Hildr Valkyrie on Music/Lyrics/Keys/All Vocals, in November of 2017.
Their first upcoming release is on the recording phase and the band is currently looking for a label.
Meaning:
"Solis in Antris" means "Alone in the Caves" and this term can be found in the Legend of Hercules and Pyrene.
Pyrene was the daughter of the Mediterranean King Bebrycius in the land of Bekrydes, who gave hospitality to Hercules during one of his 12 Labours. Hercules got drunk and raped Pyrene. Pyrene then gave birth to a serpent (the first native Basque), run away, in shame, to the woods and hid herself in the caves. Wild animals found her and killed her. Hercules heard her cries and tried to seek her, but he was late. The only thing he found was the girls body torned to pieces. Overcomed by grief, carried her remains to the mountains to rest, demanding that the mountains join in his sorrow and preserve her name.
In response the mountains shuddered at the ridges and echoed the name Pyrene for eternity.
